Who are Vincent Sheppard?

Vincent Sheppard have been at the forefront of designing and manufacturing furniture since 1992. Our market leading brand, Lloyd Loom has a fabulous collection of indoor and outdoor seating. The furniture is created using a technique where Kraft paper is twisted around a metal wire and woven into unique and individual furniture pieces.

Vincent Sheppard furniture can now be found in over fifty countries worldwide, with headquarters based in Belgium running the whole operation. Our production plants are based in Indonesia a country steeped in history for weaving.

The word craftsmanship is at the cornerstone of what we believe. We honour and preserve the tradition and history of the Lloyd Loom weaving technique. We have developed a very close collaboration with the people of Cirebon, Indonesia, known for weaving and bending rattan. This was the perfect place to establish our main production plant. Utilising the skills and knowledge of the local craftsmen can elevate the products to become pieces of art. Every piece handcrafted to perfection. Over the years we have added to our production range with natural colours and also additional durable materials.

As a company we are not only passionate about our products, but also the local environment and the welfare of our overseas work force. The company also has an ecological mindset and we are very conscious about the consumption of resources, recycling and the cleansing of waste water. In 2013 we received the FSC label by the Forest Stewardship Council which is a symbol of environmental, economic and social sustainability.

Indoor Ranges

Our indoor furniture range is designed with comfort at the forefront. we create tables, chairs, sofas, lighting and accessories in many different materials with a very distinct design style. We are known to experiment with all types of materials and combinations and create for all tastes.

Outdoor Furniture

Originally the outdoor range mainly consisted of Lloyd Loom furniture that was treated for use outdoors. Over the years the demand for great qualitative designs in a variety of all weather materials helped us to create a new range of synthetic furniture that can be left outside all year round. Comfort is our upmost priority and we are very proud to supply some of the most beautiful restaurants and hotels across the globe.

So for something a little different why not take a look at the Vincent Sheppard furniture range.

Kings Interiors supply the Vincent Sheppard range. For further details please call our Beeston branch on 0115 925 8347 or email info@kingsinteriors.com.

Interior trends to look out for in 2017

While it was only the other day we were welcoming in the New Year, new design trends are already being though of and predicted for the following year. If you are thinking of building a new home or renovating an existing you might want to look out for the following trends in 2017.

Warm tones

Warm materials like terracotta tiles are going to replace the current trending cool and white tones.

Cork

That’s right; cork is coming back in this year and not only is it a stylish material that can add warmth and texture a space it is also a great material for soaking up sound, perfect for large, open plan homes.

Dark green

Say good bye to midnight and navy blues, the new sought after interior colour will be dark shades of green.

Upholstered headboards

Dramatic changes for beds in 2017 come in the form of upholstered beds which are set to replace the current timber bed frames that have been the current dominating type on the market.

Jewel tones

The current stars of the show are pink and blues, but these will soon be taken over by jewel tones that have been inspired by the likes of metals, space, stars, clouds and the universe.

Make the most of your conservatory this winter

Over the last decade conservatories have gone from being a relatively rare “extra” found in some properties to becoming a commonplace room where families are known to lounge together in the summertime.

Because of its greenhouse-like properties, many people still associate conservatories with the summer alone; leaving it abandoned for most of the winter because the temperatures are too cold to bear. However, if you neglect the conservatory over winter you are not making the most of it the way that you should be.

The first step to ensuring that you use your conservatory to its maximum potential this winter is to make sure that it contains appropriate furniture. Many people like to choose more country-inspired, woven furnishings such as the Lloyd Loom furniture designs found at Kings Interiors. With a focus on kitchens and conservatories, each piece of Lloyd Loom furniture is individually hand crafted and this is evident in the quality of their designs.

As you can see from the examples above, their neat shapes look sophisticated while homely and would be an inviting seat that will encourage you and your family to sit in the conservatory and enjoy its atmosphere.

Although the room will be cold during the winter, combating the low temperatures is no difficult feat: a simple, cheap electric heater can be situated neatly in the corner of the room- if you switch it on in the morning you will be impressed by how quickly the room warms up; making your conservatory a cosy, comfortable area to sit while the outside temperatures drop.

As well as a pleasant area to sit and read the newspaper, many families use the conservatory as an area to dine and entertain over Christmas. Light some candles and set the dining table for the ideal atmosphere and be sure to add a little Christmas tree - this will make it more inviting than ever and put you into a cheerful, Christmassy mood whenever you’re in there.

Finally, if it is a small conservatory, add plants to it so that there is a little extra water vapour in the air and remember to open the window every now and then (weather permitting) for some additional ventilation. If you follow the advice of this blog post then you will successfully make the most of your conservatory this winter!
